Welcome to Alpine Candles. By accessing or purchasing from our store, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

These Terms of Service govern your use of our website and the purchase of products from Alpine Candles. By placing an order or using our site, you confirm that you accept these terms.

2. Products and pricing

We do our best to display our products and their colours, scents, and details as accurately as possible. All prices are listed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and may change without notice. We reserve the right to correct any errors and to modify prices at any time.

3. Handmade product variations

Our candles are natural, hand-poured products made in small batches. Because they are handmade, slight variations in colour, texture, scent strength, and appearance are completely normal and are not considered defects. These natural variations are part of the character and charm of each candle.

4. Orders

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including in cases of suspected fraud, pricing errors, or stock availability. If we cancel an order after payment, we will issue a full refund.

5. Candle safety and use

Candles are open-flame products and must be used responsibly. Always burn candles within sight, keep them away from anything flammable, keep out of reach of children and pets, and never leave a burning candle unattended. Never burn for more than four hours at a time. Always trim wick before lighting. Follow all safety instructions provided with your candle. Alpine Candles is not liable for any damage, injury, or loss resulting from improper use of our products.

7. Intellectual property

All content on this website, including images, text, logos, and branding, is the property of Alpine Candles and may not be used or reproduced without our written permission.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Alpine Candles shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products or website. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or Fair Trading Act 1986.

9. Governing law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
